Meet No Kid Hungry, Our Charitable Partner

Since 2008, Hickory Farms has partnered with No Kid Hungry to support their mission to end childhood hunger in the United States. Together, through the purchase of designated gifts and donations at checkout, we’ve helped No Kid Hungry connect kids to more than 86 million healthy meals. What is No Kid Hungry?

No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger in the United States and around the world. Since its inception in 2010, No Kid Hungry has been focused on ending childhood hunger in the United States, where 1 in 5 kids live in hunger.

No Kid Hungry invests in programs to help connect the 13 million kids facing hunger in the United States with meals they need to grow up healthy, happy, and strong.

How Does No Kid Hungry Use Donations?

Working with organizations in all 50 states, No Kid Hungry provides grant funding, advocates for better policies, conducts critical research, and supports schools, state agencies, and nonprofits.

Some of their work includes:

• Helping schools and community groups launch or improve meal programs for kids, like school breakfast or free meals in the summer when kids are out of school.
• Protecting programs like SNAP and WIC and increasing the number of children enrolled in them.
• Providing grant funding for equipment schools need to run successful meal programs, from refrigerators to delivery trucks.
• Advocating for stronger federal laws and benefits, working with state agencies to make enrolling easier for families.
• Providing funding and support to organizations working on the root causes of hunger—from low wages to the high cost of healthy foods—to help families be more economically secure.

How Does Hickory Farms Support No Kid Hungry?
